This holiday wreath charcuterie board is perfect for the Christmas season. Loaded with cheeses, cured meats, veggies, fruits, berries, and sauces, this delicious appetizer comes together in 20 minutes and is the perfect addition to your holiday gatherings.
Last year I decided to up my charcuterie game and make the ultimate Christmas charcuterie wreath board for our family gatherings.
The Christmas colors, flavors, and wreath shape are what hold the holiday spirit for me. I knew it would be an easy appetizer but I didn’t expect it to be such a huge hit, this year I will have to double the recipe I think.

The beauty of the charcuterie boards is that you can replace and change all the things to your liking to make the best festive appetizer for your family or regional produce.
Meat
My favorite meats for holiday appetizers are:
- Sliced salami (thin sliced light Italian dry salami)
- Sliced prosciutto (del duca cured prosciutto)
Cheese Board
- Brie cheese round (president brie soft-ripened cheese)
- Brie cheese triangle shape wedges (president brie cheese)
- Pepper jack cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- Thinly sliced cheese, cut into smaller squares
Choosing cheese for your charcuterie spread, try to arrange a variety of flavors from mild to sharp, and textures from soft to hard and crumbly.
There are amazing studded cheeses for Holiday charcuterie boards like cranberry studded cheese, fruit and nut cheeses, Stilton with blueberries, and so on.
Mozzarella balls are super fun to serve on skewers with meats and olives.
Crackers
- Round crackers (toasted variety pack)
- Rectangular or square crackers (toasted sea salt and olive oil flatbreads)
I use crackers, but you can also use breadsticks, pretzel sticks, and bread.
Veggies & Fruit
- Trail mix (a combo of dried fruits, nuts, candy, or granola is usually in the mix). You can buy a package or mix your own with your favorite dried fruit and nuts.
- Stuffed manzanilla green olives
- Black olives – pitted, medium. Kalamata olives are a pretty good choice, they are chunky and delicious.
- Apple, cored and sliced
- Mixed berries (fresh raspberries, blackberries, blueberries)
- Red, black, and green grapes
- Whole berry cranberry sauce, for filling the brie cheese round
- Honey, for drizzling over cheese. If you like spicy, you can add a bowl with sweet chili jam.
- Fresh sage and sprigs of rosemary for decorating the wreath. Rosemary sprigs are the best decorations to make the wreath charcuterie board. Some fresh leaves like sage, flat-leaf parsley, and big basil leaves work well too.
Fresh berries like raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and figs are great options for holiday tables but they may not be easy or cheap to get during winter.
*Note – quantities are approximate depending on the brands you choose. It is all easily customizable depending on your needs.
I highly recommend having some extras to refill the board during the evening.

How To Make Christmas Charcuterie Wreath Board
Let’s make the prettiest antipasto wreath charcuterie board you’ve ever had! The Charcuterie wreath recipe is the easiest to make – we don’t need to cook anything we just cut and assemble.
1: Cut The Cheese
- Prepare the cheese by cutting any blocks into 1” cubes, and the slices into smaller squares. You can also use the cookie cutters to cut the cheese into fun shapes if desired.
- Use larger cookie cutters to make the star shape in the brie so that you can fill the center with jam, honey, or sauce.
2: Arrange The Savory Meats
Layer the salami, fan it out, and then roll it into large and small roses – holding it together with toothpicks.
3: Create The Wreath
Use the prepared cheese and salami to make the wreath shape, incorporating fresh herbs as well. Adjust the ingredients as needed to fit the size of the board you are using.
4: Assemble The Christmas Wreath Charcuterie Board
- Add the cranberry brie to the board and then add the salami roses on opposite ends.
- Use the cheese cubes, nuts, olives, and crackers to fill in the empty spaces throughout the wreath, making sure to not add them all in one spot but spreading little pockets of ingredients in multiple areas of the wreath.
- Unroll the prosciutto, spread them out, and then roll some pieces together or fan it out. Place 2 portions on opposite ends of the board.
- Continue filling in sparse spaces with various ingredients (cheese, olives, fruit, nuts, crackers), and herbs until all of the spaces are filled.
- Decorate with star cheese cutouts.
- Serve with additional cranberry sauce and honey on the side.
Charcuterie Board Wreath Variations & Substitutions
- This can be made with a variety of cured meat such as pepperoni, salami, prosciutto, or sliced deli meats such as sliced turkey or sliced chicken.
- Try making with these great cheese varieties – sharp cheddar, white cheddar, Monterey, Colby jack, Pepper Jack, Swiss cheese, blue cheese, fresh mozzarella balls, etc.
- For added visual interest use different cracker flavors, shapes, and textures. Pomegranate seeds, cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts, fresh rosemary sprigs, and Christmas decorations are some of the great ideas.
- Instead of fresh veggies, you can use marinated vegetables or roasted vegetables (roasted red peppers are my favorite). A simple marinade recipe calls for some aromatics, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar, a little Italian touch.
- You can make canapes with a selection of veggies and cubed cheese. Large toothpicks or antipasto skewers will work for this. Adding just a few skewers makes it easier for guests to eat the finger food without touching everything.
- A cool idea is to use a cutter to remove the center from the brie cheese and fill it with jam, spread, or pomegranate seeds.
- Add things like pomegranate arils, hard cheeses, fresh fruits, small bowls of finger foods, and so much more to this edible wreath.
Additional Tips
- Remember to use a board larger than you think you will need to be sure you don’t run out of room.
- Sometimes it can help to sketch it out to get an idea of how you want to arrange the ingredients before you start working.
- Any fresh fruit or vegetables you are including should be added to the board right before serving so they stay fresh as long as possible.
- This recipe is not great to make ahead, but once you assemble it cover it with plastic wrap if the guests haven’t arrived yet.

- 1 apple cored and sliced
- mixed berries fresh raspberries, blackberries, blueberries
- red black, and green grapes
- 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce for filling the brie cheese round
- 1 cup honey for drizzling over cheese
