Slow Cooker Hawaiian Ribs

Slow Cooker Hawaiian Ribs are tender and juicy. These ribs are slow-cooked to perfection with a sweet and tangy BBQ pineapple glaze.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds baby back ribs
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 18 ounces BBQ sauce - any variety you prefer
  • ¾ cup pineapple juice juice from a 20-ounce can of pineapple chunks
  • cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced

Instructions

  • Place the ribs in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle them with the pepper, onion powder, garlic salt, and paprika.
  • Combine the BBQ sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, and garlic in a bowl, whisking until combined.
  • Pour ¾ of the sauce over the ribs. Reserve the remaining ¼ of the sauce for later.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.

Optional - Before serving, remove the ribs from the slow cooker, brush them with the reserved sauce, and broil for a few minutes until sticky and glazy.

    Notes

    Tips and Tricks
    • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
    • You can add some red pepper flake for a little heat.
    • You can add the pineapple chunks to the slow cooker if you like.
    • Garnish with a little green onion and serve over rice for a fabulous dinner.
