Ingredients
2ouncesvodka
1ouncesweet and sour mix
1ounceblue curacao
1ouncecranberry juice
½ouncegrenadine
ice (optional)
light corn syrup (optional garnish)
purple sanding sugar (optional garnish)
maraschino cherries (optional garnish)
Instructions
Combine the vodka, sweet & sour mix, blue curacao, cranberry juice, and grenadine in a cocktail shaker.
If you are not having the ice in the cup, add it to the shaker. Stir for a few seconds.
Drizzle some light corn syrup on a small plate.
Pour a small portion of purple sanding sugar on a separate small plate.
Dip the rim of the glass in the corn syrup and let the excess drip off before dipping the covered rim in the purple sugar. Roll it around in the sugar until it’s nicely covered.
Gently fill the cup with ice (this part can be skipped, depending on preference, but it looks nicer for serving).
Strain the cocktail into the glass.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry, a plastic spider, and a purple straw, if desired before serving.
Notes
Tips:●This drink tastes best when enjoyed immediately after mixing. I don’t recommend making this ahead. ●You can use cocktail cranberry juice or any variety of grape juice, in place of the cranberry juice. ●You can use simple syrup in place of the corn syrup. ●Pro Tip - Add a sprinkle of grape Kool-Aid to your drink to make it pop with color and flavor!
