Ingredients
2cupsmilkdairy or non-dairy
2tablespoonspumpkin purée - not pie filling
1tablespoongranulated sugar or sweetener of choice, 1-2 tbsp depending on preference
½cupchai tea - strong brewed
½teaspoonpumpkin pie spice
½teaspoonvanilla extract
Whipped creamoptional, for topping
Ground cinnamonoptional, for garnish
Instructions
Combine the milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a low simmer over medium-low - it should have a few bubbles, but do not boil. (stir frequently)
Whisk in the chai tea, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla. Bring back to a simmer for another 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
Transfer to serving mugs, and top with whipped cream and cinnamon if desired.
