Ingredients

Crust

  • 12 Oreo cookies crushed - I used 12 total - 3 per bowl

Cheesecake

  • 8 ounces cream cheese - room temperature
  • ½ cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 tbsp sour cream + 1 tsp
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips - melted & cooled to room temperature

German Chocolate Frosting

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • ½ cup butter
  • cups sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Crumble the Oreo cookies into the bowls & set aside.
  • Beat the cream cheese in a mixing bowl until creamy & smooth.
  • Mix in the confectioners sugar, sour cream, and vanilla. Beat well.
  • Slowly mix in melted (& cooled) chocolate. Increase the speed and whip for 2-3 minutes to create an airy texture.
  • Spoon the mixture over the crushed Oreos in the bowls. Place bowls in the refrigerator while you make the frosting.

Frosting

  • Combine the egg yolks, sugar, evaporated milk, and butter in a saucepan. Heat over medium until thickened (about 12 minutes) The mixture will come to a rolling boil- keep stirring while cooking until thick.
  • Once thickened, remove from the heat and stir in the coconut and pecans.
  • Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature before adding several spoonfuls of the frosting to the top of each bowl of cheesecake.

Notes

store any remaining frosting in refrigerator for future use
