- 6 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar divided
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 eggs room temperature
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup butter - melted
Vegetable or canola oil, for frying
2 cups sugar, for rolling
This recipe produces a very light batter which is not rolled and cut but spooned into the hot oil.
