Ingredients

  • 6 ounces Vodka
  • 2 ounces Triple Sec
  • Sweetened Lime Juice to taste (I use ½ ounce)

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a shaker and gently shake for a few seconds. Shake with ice if the ingredients aren’t chilled before starting.
  • Pour into shot glasses and garnish with a piece of fresh lime, if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust the sweetened lime juice to your preferences. I use ½ an ounce, but some like to do it per shot so each person can add their preferred amount.
Some prefer sugar on the rim for this shot as it can be strong. - To add sugar to the rim, dip the rim of each shot glass into the sweetened lime juice or water and then dip the wet glass into loose granulated sugar to coat. Prep the rim of the glasses before adding the liquid.
Bottled or fresh lime juice can be used instead of the sweetened juice. This will require the sugar on the rim as it is quite sour.
Using ice in the shaker adds bubbles. I like to keep my ingredients chilled so I can just skip the ice.
