Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds green beans fresh, trimmed
  • 4 slices bacon FRESH - smoked and chopped
  • 1 onion small - diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth - or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Trim the green beans. Wash, and then add them to the crockpot.
  • Add the chopped bacon, diced onion, and minced garlic on top of the green beans.
  • Pour in the broth, add the salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until the green beans are tender.
  • Stir well before serving. Adjust any seasonings as needed.
