Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2 chicken breasts boneless, skinless, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Pasta

  • 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

salt and pepper, to taste

parsley, fresh, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Chicken

  • Season the chicken breast with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper - tossing to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Sprinkle the chicken with grated Parmesan cheese and set aside.

Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Melt the butter over medium heat in the same skillet used for the chicken.
  • Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  • Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
  • Add the cooked chicken on top of the pasta.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and additional grated parmesan, if desired.
