Ingredients

  • ½ cup almonds chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter - unsalted
  • ¼ cups onion diced
  • 30 ounces green beans two - 15 oz cans
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat the almonds and butter together in a large skillet over low heat. Stir occasionally, cooking for about 10 minutes. Butter should be browned and almonds aromatic.
  • Stir in the onion and cook for an additional minute to soften.
  • Add the green beans, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Cook for 5-10 minutes over medium-low until heated through. Continue to stir occasionally.
  • Serve hot.
