Ingredients

  • ½ cup onion diced
  • 6 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1 ½ cup white rice - long grain
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Combine the onion and butter in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low for several minutes or until the onions are tender.
  • Add the rice and stir to coat.
  • Add the chicken stock, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Cover with a lid and continue to cook for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
  • Fluff with a fork and remove the bay leaves before serving.

Notes

Rice can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
