Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter - softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar - packed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line several baking sheets with parchment and set aside.
  • Beat the butter and brown sugar together in a large mixing bowl until the mixture is soft and creamy.
  • Slowly mix in the flour until no dry pockets remain. The texture should be thick and creamy.
  • Use a medium cookie scoop and portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Roll the portioned dough between your hands to smooth it out. Then gently press the tops to flatten slightly into a thick disk.
  • Place back on the baking sheet at least 2” apart to leave room to spread.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
