Broccoli Salad Recipe

This super easy Broccoli Salad Recipe with Dried Cherries is the perfect dish to bring to all your summer BBQs, picnics, and potlucks. Takes just a few minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups broccoli chopped
  • ½ cup dried cherries
  • cup sunflower seeds salted
  • ¼ cup bacon bits real bacon - not immitation
  • ¼ medium red onion chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix together broccoli, cherries, sunflower seeds, bacon bits, & red onion. Stir to fully combine.
  • In a smaller bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, salt & pepper until combined.
  • Pour the dressing mixture over the broccoli mixture.
  • Combine all together with a spatula or wooden spoon, being sure to mix all the way to the bottom of the bowl to be sure to get all of the small seeds & bacon bits evenly incorporated.
  • Place a cover on the bowl, or transfer to a bowl with a cover & place in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
  • Serve & enjoy!

Notes

- Add additional salt & pepper at the end to your taste preference.
- Sub in dried cranberries instead of cherries.
- This will keep fresh in the refrigerator for 2 days once it is combined, 4 days if the dressing has not yet been put on the salad.
- Great as a side for your upcoming BBQ
