Cake
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup hot water
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup oil
- 2 tsp vanilla
Whipped Cream Frosting
- 3 cups heavy cream
- ¼ cup confectioner’s sugar
Decorate
- 1 cup chocolate sprinkles or shavings
- 2 cups cherries - fresh, pitted and halved
