- ¾ cup butter melted - unsalted
- 1 ½ cups brown sugar packed
- 1 egg - large
- 1 egg yolk - large
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups bananas about 3 ripe bananas - mashed
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup walnuts chopped - optional
- ¾ cup white chocolate chips optional
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Whisk the melted butter and brown sugar in a mixing bowl until well combined.
Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
Whisk in the mashed bananas until fully incorporated.
Stir the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chopped walnuts and white chocolate chips if using.
Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
