Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts - boneless, skinless
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lay the chicken out on a prep plate or cutting board. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  • Combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Sprinkle the spice mixture on the chicken and rub/press it in so it sticks well.
  • Transfer the chicken to the heated air fryer basket or try. Cook for 10 minutes. (be sure to space evenly and only do a single layer at a time)
  • Brush the bbq sauce on the chicken and cook for another 8-10 minutes - or until the internal temp is 165°F (74°C) and the juices run clear.
  • If you are working in batches, repeat with any remaining chicken.

Notes

Tip: For extra flavor, brush additional barbecue sauce on the chicken just before serving.
