- ¾ cup butter melted (1 ½ sticks)
- 5 cups biscuit mix
- 1 ½ cups sour cream
- 1 cup 7UP® soda
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 9x13 casserole dish and a 9x9 baking dish.
In a large bowl, use a pastry blender to combine the biscuit mix with the sour cream until equally blended.
Add the soda and stir until the dough is just mixed. It will be lumpy.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead and fold the dough just until it comes together.
Roll out until about 1 inch thick.
Using a floured biscuit cutter, cut the biscuits without twisting the biscuit cutter.
Place the biscuits into the prepared baking dish.
Bake the biscuits for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Brush with additional melted butter, if desired.
