This Sour Shirley Summer Drink Recipe is a twist on the iconic childhood drink. Made with added lemonade & optional rum – this can be enjoyed by all ages.
I have the perfect thing for you! I decided to twist on one of my favorite childhood drinks as a kid- the Shirley Temple & make it a little different to jazz things up a bit. I have been having so much fun with making beverages lately- I can’t for the life of me figure out what took me so long to get on board with making & sharing them for this space. I decided to take this drink that I have loved so much from when I was a kid & add some lemonade to it. Boy that sweet cherry & tart lemonade sure compliment each other quite well. It’s the perfect pairing if you ask me. The kids loved it.

But then I decided to spike it a bit with some rum once the evening went on. I have to say, it was a great way to spend the night. We sat out back, enjoyed the yard, good food & awesome weather. Having a delicious beverage in my hand made it all the better. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
