Crowd-pleasing slow cooker ranck pork chops recipe with savory ranch seasoning and delicious gravy with a satisfying creamy texture. Perfect and easy dinner for two!
My original recipe had just pork chops, cream soup, and seasoning, but I decided to elevate it and add more flavors, so my version of the slow cooker ranch pork chops has also heavy cream and both cream of chicken soup and chicken broth.

Ingredients Notes

- Boneless pork chops. You can use fresh or frozen. About 3/4” thick is perfect for slow cooker recipes – it will slow cook to perfection yet stay juicy. Make sure there are no pale or dark spots.
- Condensed cream of chicken soup – just the contents of the can, don’t add water. Easier to buy a can but you can also use homemade cream of mushroom or chicken soup. Any creamy soup will work in a pinch.
- Heavy cream. You can also use sour cream, but in that case, add it just 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
- Chicken broth. Low-sodium will be a healthier option or you can always replace it with water.
- Dry ranch dressing mix. You can use either a ranch packet or make homemade ranch dressing.
- Garlic salt and black pepper.

1: Lay Pork Chops In The Slow Cooker
- Spray the cooker insert with cooking oil.
- Add the pork chops to the bottom of the insert.

Combine the canned cream soup, heavy cream, broth, seasoning, garlic salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Whisk well until combined and then pour over the top of the pork chops.
3: Pour The Sauce Over The Pork And Slow Cook
- Cover and let the pork chops cook on low for 4-5 hours (or on high for 3 hours) until fork tender.
- I recommend cooking on low, especially if you have a thicker slice.
What Sides Go With Ranch Pork Chops?
Serve with mashed potatoes and some of the gravy drippings on top. You can garnish the meal with some chopped parsley.
If you’re not a potato fan, here are some more options:
- White rice,
- noodles,
- Add veggies: broccoli, green beans, baby carrots, peas, or
- Some salad as a side dish.
- Red potatoes
You can cook potatoes or veggies together with the pork chops too!
Storage
Cool pork chops to room temperature. Store leftover slow-cooker ranch pork chops in an airtight container for 3 days. Reheat with a little bit of chicken broth or milk to adjust the gravy. Crockpot pork chops taste even better the next day!
You can freeze ranch pork chops in a freezer-safe container for up to two months. Thaw in the fridge overnight and reheat in a microwave or in the oven at 350 F for 10-15 minutes.
To make pork chops in the slow cooker ahead of time or for the weekly meal prep, load chops and sauce ingredients in a freezer bag and freeze for up to three months. Thaw overnight and cook low and slow for 4-5 hours.
Substitutions & Variations
- You can use 6 pork chops for this recipe instead of 4. You can use bone in chops too but the cooking time will be a bit longer.
- Change meat. You can use boneless skinless chicken breasts.
- Add cream of mushroom soup to enhance the flavors. My original recipe also used cream of celery soup.
- Instead of heavy cream, you can butter cubes. The pork chops will soak all the flavor from the rich butter and it will be delicious.
- Add a little bit of tang with apple cider vinegar or some heat with Dijon mustard and red pepper flakes.
- The easiest way to change up these juicy pork chops with a different type of thick gravy is to use your own favorite creamy ranch sauce.
Expert Tips To Make Crockpot Ranch Pork Chops
- If you want to make sure the pork chops in the slow cooker are done, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. It should be 145F. The thicker your pork chops are, the longer it will take to cook through.
- If you are worried that your bone-in pork chops will dry out, you can sear them in a skillet with a bit of olive oil before adding them to the slow cooker.
- Don’t check on the meat often. When you open the lid you make the temperature drop and it may result in uneven cooking.
- If the gray feels too thick, add water or milk, if it is too thin, cook a little longer or stir in the cornstarch slurry.
