Sausage Egg Rice Bowl is an easy family dinner idea that everyone loves. A simple rice bowl recipe that’s also one of our favorite 30-minute meals. YUM!
We have a recipe that has become the ultimate, all-time, family favorite. It’s a whole bunch of ingredients that we just sort of tossed together. The kids absolutely fell in love with it. So much so that they aptly named it “daddy delicious” because it was my hubs creation. In fact, the more I think of it- he should be the one writing this right now. We started with just rice & ground beef. Then we added gravy to it with a side of veggies. Slowly this evolved into using sausage because that was what we had on hand & we were out of ground beef. Well- that turned into a very good thing because the flavor of the sausage just made the whole dish POP! Over the years we decided to add in scrambled eggs, cheese & while we were at it, we thought we would just mix the veggies in there since they would be mixed in the bowl anyway.

This dish has turned into the kid’s favorite dinner. It’s the only thing they go back for thirds on. No kidding- we make this with a 4 cup rice cooker & then end up mixing all these ingredients in our largest stainless mixing bowl. There is so much food, yet the kids manage to almost polish it off every single time we make it. Our guests also request this one every time they visit. I’m telling you- it’s a MUST MAKE & so easy too!
