However- like most recipes I try- I put my own twist on it. Taking the basic concept & base ingredients I changed things up. This was mainly because the recipe said it made a dozen.

The weather is nice & the stores & gardens are full of delicious produce. One thing I really love about this time of year is the abundance of zucchini. It really gives me an excuse to make these Chocolate Chip Zucchini Muffins.

My mother-in-law used to have neighbors that would load her up with zucchini every summer. When we would visit, she would have a whole bunch waiting for us to take home. I’m not a huge veggie lover, but I’m also not one to waste food. I had to find a way to put it all to good use. Fortunately, this recipe for chocolate-chocolate chip zucchini muffins was the perfect way to use it all up.

We just had National Zucchini Bread Day!!!  Gotta love food holidays like that!!  I also love making zucchini bread.

I was originally going to share with you the one my late mother-in-law passed down to me.  But then I found an old recipe I had come across for Double Chocolate Zucchini Loaf & I just had to make it.  

It came out Fabulous!!!!!!  So, of course, I had to share it with you all.  

I love that this was moist & dense & really- you can’t taste the zucchini.  It’s more like a brownie bread that is sort of good for you  🙂

If you would like a more traditional zucchini bread recipe you can try my Butternut Squash bread recipe & substitute in the zucchini for the squash.  I promise you will love it too.
