Raspberry White Chocolate Frozen Yogurt is an easy frozen dessert recipe to cool you down all summer long. Perfect for birthdays, holidays & backyard BBQs.
Who loves frozen treats? I sure do & this time of year I want them all the time! I’m sure I could basically live off ice cream, frozen yogurt & pops of all kinds. Which is why I came up with this Raspberry White Chocolate Frozen Yogurt.
This is the perfect dessert for the serious raspberry lovers out there.
Is it super hot where you are right now? I know that by this time of year we were absolutely melting when we lived in Southern Nevada. That heat stuck around for a good 8-10 months & we were definitely tired of sweating at this point.
Now that we are up in North Idaho, it is quite pleasant & mild, especially this year. I mean, I’m still wearing my slippers on most days. But that doesn’t mean I’m not always looking for some frozen treats to enjoy.
So my youngest just came in from picking more raspberries from the garden. There were so many, even after having some for breakfast & making a few batches of jam with them.
So I decided to pull out this old favorite – Raspberry White Chocolate Frozen Yogurt. Frozen yogurt usually beats out ice cream in this house, so needless to say, this didn’t last long around here.
I’m not sure why, but the whole family tends to pick fro-yo over any other frozen treat. This one is so good, I don’t blame them.

What is it about raspberries & white chocolate? They just seem to pair so well together. The sweetness of the white choclate really balances the tart raspberry flavor.
This homemade frozen yogurt is so incredibly creamy. I can’t even tell you just how good this is. But I can say that the family polished this batch off in one night – gone & already asking for more.
Here are some commonly asked questions
Can I change the toppings & mix-ins for this ice cream?
Yes, absolutely you can change the toppings & mix-ins. Sometimes we like to add in nuts, chopped white chocolate pieces or sprinkles. It really just depends on your preference.
Can this recipe be made with other berries?
Yes, we like to make this recipe using blackberries or strawberries too. I have not made it yet with blueberries, but it is on my list with the next batch we pull from the garden.
How to store Raspberry White Chocolate Frozen Yogurt?
It is best when stored in an airtight container in the freezer. Just remove it about 5-10 minutes before scooping to make it a bit easier to serve.
If you live in an unusually hot climate, I recommend not letting it sit out before serving.
Why is my homemade frozen yogurt so hard?
A lot of yogurt brands out there contain more fat & less water, rather than an equal volume of milk. Those coagulated proteins do add some creaminess to the yogurt & really help when the yogurt is frozen.
But this recipe calls for low-fat ingredients, which will make this frozen yogurt slightly less creamy than you would expect from ice cream & certainly less creamy than a soft-serve frozen yogurt.
The only way to get your frozen yogurt REALLY creamy is to add a good amount of sugar (more than you might for ice-cream) in addition to the sweetened condensed milk we have added here & churn, churn, churn. You could switch to full-fat ingredients to make this recipe even more creamy if you like.
HOW DO YOU MAKE Raspberry White Chocolate Frozen Yogurt?
- Melt chocolate chips & stir in sweetened condensed milk.
- Transfer to stand mixer & add yogurt, milk & vanilla.
- Blend well & transfer to ice cream maker. Churn for 15 minutes.
- While churning- blend raspberries & sugar until it reaches the consistency of jam.
- Pour frozen yogurt into airtight container & fold in raspberry mixture.
- Cover & freeze at least 4 hours.
- **This recipe makes approx 4 cups, which fits well into this standard loaf pan.

Can I make this without the mixer?
Absolutely, a hand mixer or some vigorous whisking should do the trick. Just make sure that this is blended REALLY well to create the right consistency.
Do I have to have an ice cream maker for this recipe?
Yes, you will need an ice cream maker for this recipe. The churning of the yogurt is what helps to make this recipe creamy. If you were to just mix the ingredients & then allow it to freeze before the churning process, you would end up with some very hard, crystalized frozen yogurt that is not only difficult to scoop, but far less enjoyable in regards to texture.
Can this recipe be doubled?
I suppose you could, but I don’t think the ingredients will fit in a standard ice cream maker if they are doubled. Believe me, I would love to double this recipe & if they happen to come out with a MUCH LARGER ice cream maker, that is exactly what I plan to do.
