Common Questions About Monster Cookie Dough
What Makes This Different From Other Cookie Doughs?
Our Monster Cookie Dough is a delectable blend of my favorite cookies. Imagine peanut butter cookies, oatmeal cookies, and everyone’s beloved chocolate chip cookie all rolled into one edible monster cookie dough treat. Yum!
Is It Safe to Eat Raw?
Absolutely! This easy recipe doesn’t contain any raw eggs or raw flour, making it a safe-to-eat, no-bake dessert.
Indulge away! The kids in particular will love this stuff. At our house, we like to have cookie dough and popcorn for our movie nights!
Can I Bake This Dough?
While this is primarily an edible cookie dough recipe designed for eating raw, if you get the urge for fresh-baked cookies, you can experiment. You’d have to add leavening ingredients such as eggs and baking soda.
However, I can’t guarantee the results as they might not have the same texture or taste of monster cookies baked from traditional dough. Try it out and tell me how it goes!
Storage
I love making a huge batch of this cookie dough and store it for later. I like to put some in the fridge as well as the freezer. That way I’ve got some for now and for later!
Refrigerator
Keep your Monster Cookie Dough stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. This keeps it fresh and ready for whenever your sweet tooth calls. (Basically, all the time if you’re like me.)
Freezer
Want to extend the life of your cookie dough? Store it in an air-tight container or wrapped in plastic wrap in the freezer. Just thaw for a few minutes before diving in!
Tips
This one is super simple, but I’ll give you a few tips anyway. Whether it’s for dessert or snacking, everyone will love this no-bake recipe!
- Mixing: Use a hand or stand mixer on low speed initially, to ensure dry ingredients like flour and sugar don’t fly out of the large bowl.
- Texture: Ensure your butter is at room temperature for a smooth and creamy dough.
- Variety: Switch up the mix-ins! You can try semi-sweet chocolate chips, mini chocolate chips, or even some crushed Oreo cookies. Check out my variations list down below!
- Safety: Even though this recipe doesn’t use raw flour, always opt for heat-treated flour if you want to be on the extra safe side.
