Common Questions About Instant Pot Carne Asada
Can I Use Different Cuts of Beef?
Absolutely! While flank or skirt steak is the go-to for that classic Carne Asada texture, feel free to experiment with what you have on hand. Each cut brings its own unique flavor and tenderness to the dish.
Is It Necessary to Marinate Overnight?
Marinating overnight will infuse your beef with deeper flavors, but if you’re short on time, a couple of hours will still do the trick. The key is to give those spices and juices a chance to work their magic. You won’t regret the extra time it takes.
Can I Make This on a Stovetop or Grill?
Yes! If you’re without an Instant Pot, you can marinate the beef as instructed, then cook it on a medium-high heated grill or stovetop skillet. Just keep an eye on it to achieve your desired doneness.
Storage
Leftover carne asada might be one of the best things in your fridge. I think it only gets better with more time. Warm it up or just eat it at room temperature!
Refrigerator
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Freezer
Wrap well and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
Tips
I love instant pot recipes. This is one kitchen gadget that I wouldn’t want to do without! Don’t forget to put it into the sealing position. Been there, done that, haha!
- Marinate for Flavor: The longer you marinate, the better the flavor.
- Slice Against the Grain: For the tenderest meat, always slice against the grain.
- Quick Pressure Release: Use the quick-release method after cooking to prevent the meat from overcooking.
- Customize Your Toppings: Don’t forget to garnish with fresh cilantro and lime wedges for an extra burst of flavor.
