This Strawberry Daiquiri recipe is the perfect frozen cocktail for the warmer weather. Great when served at Taco Tuesday or during your next backyard bbq.
Do you love strawberries? We sure do. Growing up in So Cal, they were a part of most of the recipes we made. They are great in so many things, but when the weather heats up, I’m always looking forward to whipping up a few pitchers of Strawberry Daiquiris.
I love them because not only are they easy to make, but everyone loves them. So it is a good thing this recipe makes enough for about 8 glasses. Perfect for those lazy days out by the pool or hosting a house full of party guests.
If you love blended drinks, this one will soon be your favorite. I think I love them so much because they remind me of a slushie, only these slushies come with a bit of booze. Keep the kids away – this deliciousness doesn’t have to be shared.

The best part of these is that they only require a few ingredients to make. That makes party planning simple, which is so nice. We all know that whenever you are hosting anyone, that shopping cart can pile up quickly & become expensive. These make it easy to provide cocktails without breaking the bank.
Here are some commonly asked questions
How do you create the slushie consistency?
Blend, blend, blend. It may seem like it is taking a long time, but in reality, it is only a few minutes & well worth the wait.
What blender do you use to make these strawberry daiquiris?
I would be absolutely lost without THIS BLENDER. It can handle almost anything I put in there. I love it so much that I actually have two of them so we can keep the daiquiris flowing.
Can these daiquiris be made ahead of time?
Because these are semi-frozen, I don’t recommend making them too far in advance of serving them. Just like a regular slushie, they will eventually melt. But you should be able to keep the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least an hour & have them still taste fantastic.
HOW DO YOU MAKE Strawberry Daiquiris?
- Place strawberries, ice, lime juice, sugar & rum in the blender & secure the lid.
- Blend on high speed for 6-8 minutes or until mixture reaches a slushie consistency.
- Stop halfway through & scrape down the sides of the blender to make sure you are getting all of the ingredients smooth.
- Blend in optional whipped topping for 60 seconds if desired.
- Pour into serving glasses & top with a fresh strawberry, lime or lemon wheel for garnish.
- **Note: add a splash of water or more rum (if you like it strong) to thin the consistency to your liking.

Can I change the berries in this recipe?
Absolutely. Sometimes we add some blueberries or raspberries or even peaches to this recipe to change up the flavors. Just be sure to increase the sugar when adding berries that are more tart or reduce it a bit when adding sweet fruit like peaches. You may want to increase the liquid a bit too.
Should I use fresh or frozen strawberries?
I like using frozen strawberries when making a frozen drink. They work like a flavored ice cube & help make the slushie consistency. But if you decide to use fresh berries, just make sure to increase your ice or these will be thin daiquiris.
What serving glasses should I use?
Sometimes I really like to use these stemless wine glasses like you see here. But you can also pick up a traditional daiquiri glass for these. If you are making these for a big crowd, try these disposable drink pouches.
How to make strawberry daiquiri mocktail?
If you want to make a pitcher that is kid-friendly, just leave out the rum & replace it with simple syrup. If you do this, I recommend reducing the sugar because the simple syrup is very sweet all by itself.
