Holly Jolly Cookie Bars are an easy to make Yummy Bar Recipe that is perfect for leaving under the tree on Christmas Eve or giving to friends and neighbors.
Delicious chocolate chip cookie bars loaded with holiday M&M’s are the perfect treat to leave under the tree on Christmas Eve. The kiddos will be so excited when they see these tasty little bars. Super easy to make and they always bring lots of smiles.
My friends, you know I’m all about the holiday goodies. I’m baking every single day since Nov 1 and loving every minute of it.
One of our favorite things to make is cookie bars. They are so much easier than making regular cookies because you just flatten all the dough into the pan and bake.
No need to portion out balls of dough or hope that they don’t sink too much. These are perfect.

I like to toss my ingredients in the stand mixer, but you can definately use a hand-held mixer for this dough.
Here are some commonly asked questions
Why do you add the white chocolate chips on top at the end?
This is because white chocolate chips tend to brown when exposed during the baking process.
So that means if you add them to the top before baking they will come out looking like a toasted marshmallow instead of a beautiful white chocolate chip.
No worries though, if you press them in right after you remove these bars from the oven the chips will melt just perfectly.
Where can I get holiday M&M’s?
I start picking mine up at the market as soon as I see them available since I go through so many with all the baking we do. But you can also find them online.
