Grilled Chicken & Bacon Pizza with Garlic Cream Sauce is the best homemade pizza recipe EVER! Better than any frozen, take & bake or delivery. WOW! AMAZING! Don’t miss my tip for quick & easy prep time too!
I have to tell you something. When I’m looking for a recipe for a certain something I no longer do a Google search for it. I used to refer to cookbooks or magazines long ago. Then came Google & then Pinterest.
But you know what? I have been reading certain blogs for so long that I remember who made what & my friend’s recipes have become my “go-to” now. If I’m looking for a certain kind of casserole, I know who made what I’m after & I can visit them directly to print the recipe. I love it because I know that these recipes are ones I can trust, like this Grilled Chicken & Bacon Pizza with Garlic Cream Sauce.
It’s not just some random recipe I came across. Nope- it’s from someone I value as an expert & I know it’s going to be amazing. So when I had the chance to join a handful of bloggers (all of whom I visit & re-make their recipes frequently) to collaborate on a recipe share I couldn’t pass it up.
We all take turns making & sharing a recipe from another. Works out great for me because I already love what they create & I’m thrilled to share it here with you in a whole new way.
First up – this Grilled Chicken & Bacon Pizza with Garlic Cream Sauce originally from Jaren @ Diary of a Recipe Collector.

First let me say that when I order pizza I will almost always choose one with a white sauce over a marinara. I get a certain one when we visit home & go to California Pizza Kitchen. It’s just my preference & rarely do I find anything quite like it.
I used to be able to find it in the frozen pizzas – but they don’t offer the White Garlic Chicken anymore. There’s another version that isn’t the same. So since it’s been 9 years since we went home for the purpose of a vacation, it’s been that long since I have had my favorite pizza.
When looking through Jaren’s recipes to choose one to share here today – this one jumped out at me of course. I knew I had to make it & boy am I glad I did. It was MAGNIFICENT! Everything I had been missing & more. It was every bit as good as it looks here – WOW!
Here are some commonly asked questions
Can I add other toppings to this pizza recipe?
Yes- of course. We also like to also add things like sausage, pepperoni, artichoke hearts and so much more. If you really love a particular topping on your pizza – by all means, give it a go. The hubs & the kids really love anchovies, so those are often added to this pizza in our house.
What is the best way to store homemade chicken pizza?
We almost never have leftovers of this particular homemade pizza. But when we do, I find that the easiest way is to either wrap a couple of slices together in some tin foil or place several slices in a large zip-top bag before refrigerating. Just make sure to get the leftovers refrigerated within an hour of cooking to prevent bacteria growth.
Can this be made with homemade pizza dough?
Jaren used a homemade dough recipe from Pioneer Woman for hers. I decided to streamline things & use the ready made crust. It worked out great!
I definitely make my own crust most of the time because I love to do that whenever possible. (My 2-ingredient pizza dough is incredibly easy) But for something quick & easy – this was perfect. I also baked them on my perforated pizza pan. I have to tell you, this is a must-have for all pizza making. It gets that crust perfect every single time.

How many slices will this recipe make?
Honestly, this really depends on how large or small you cut them or how large you make your dough if you are making it from scratch. But I think we usually get about 8 slices on average. Perfect for a little pizza for two.
Can this recipe be doubled?
I usually like to double this recipe when it comes to the sauce & toppings then divide it between the two pizza crusts. It really works out great & I can get the kids in the kitchen to help me out when it comes to preparing the pizzas before baking.

What pan do you recommend?
I really love this pizza pan because not only is it the perfect size, but it is also easy to clean & affordable too.
Can this chicken pizza be frozen?
I have never actually tried it. But this recipe comes together so quickly & easily, I can’t imagine needing to prepare & freeze ahead of the baking time. However, I don’t recommend freezing after this has been baked. I think it might be a bit soggy once thawed.

I always choose white pizza too and since no one else eats it, I get the whole thing to myself! lol. But, if I make it at home, they might be more willing to try it, especially with bacon! Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty
