Easter Egg Stands
A while back the kids & I came up with these Easter Egg Stands that we created out of printables wrapped around cardboard to help keep our Easter eggs standing upright. Well this was back when I didn’t know a whole heck of a lot about blogging & I included the images & the project along with a mish-mosh of other things in a random post. Ahh – seriously, the things we do as learning bloggers. So I thought I would give them their own post – because these stands really deserve to hold their own here in this space. They are so cute & a simple little Easter craft for kids that they will love to create.
So I started with these supplies. Printables, cardboard tubes, tape, scissors. Pretty simple & straight forward.
Just cut out the printables – cut the cardboard tubes to the same width as the printables & wrap around & tape. Easy peezy!
Now my kids are older – so they really didn’t have any issues with working on this all by themselves. But smaller children who can safely manipulate kid scissors could very easily do this little craft on their own too.
These would work well while decorating eggs the night before Easter.
My kids like when I use them to decorate with the plastic eggs in our Easter decorations.
Here are the printables – click over to download each sheet!

Affordable Housewarming Gift Idea
Do you like to bring housewarming gifts over when you have new neighbors move in? I do! It’s a great way to meet them & make them feel at home. We just finished building our house last summer & we were the first completed house on our street. It’s been fun for us to see each & every new lot grow from emptiness to construction to watching new families moving in. One thing I know is always needed when moving into a new home is fresh towels & soap by each sink. Seems that is always the thing I am searching when moving. Having to go to this sink or that one to find the one that has the only soap & towels in the whole house until things start getting unpacked. So I came up with this Affordable Housewarming Gift Idea that has become my favorite thing to give to all my new neighbors as the street fills up.
Then I pair it all with some fresh towels to keep by each sink.
This way they don’t have to look for that illusive box the towels were packed in.
Add this little free printable gift tag. Easy & quick – but so thoughtful!

Chore Chart Checklist Template
It’s no secret that it takes everyone in this house to keep things running smoothly. I would have to hire outside help to get it all done if it were not for the help from the kids. I would be lost without them for sure. But to make sure things don’t get forgotten I created this Chore Chart Checklist Template for them to follow. I love a good list, which is why I love to create Free Printable Checklist Templates. This keeps us all on a routine – which is crucial for my sanity.
We devised this chore chart system years ago that works really well for us. You see- we believe that one of the most important things we can do as parents is to prepare the kids for what it’s like in the real world as best we can. So we treat the chore chart like a time sheet at a job.
They fill in all their tasks they are assigned to do each week. Then they check them off. They each have a certain amount they earn each week for what they do. If they forget something one day – they get a deduction. If they do extras – they add it to the bottom & they get paid extra – like getting paid overtime at a job.
We even have them sign at the bottom. I add in the notes when they received their payment & how much it was. This is also the area they can fill in remarks like “didn’t do the nightly floor maintenance on Monday & Tuesday because we were on a trip” or something like that. This way I know how to allot the money accordingly. It works beautifully because they are accountable for what they do & don’t do & they see it on payday – just like a job.
So I have this free printable checklist template here for you to use too! Hope it helps with tracking the chores in your house.

Nuts for You Valentine {Free Printable Valentines}
Hello all my bloggy friends! I have a special Valentine’s Day themed hop for you all today. I have teamed up with an INCREDIBLE group of bloggers to bring you a one stop shop for all your Valentine Gift needs!! Yay – check out all these fabulous Valentine Ideas being shared by so many AMAZINGLY talented ladies. If you are looking for Valentine gifts – this is your place to be!
When I’m gearing up for Valentine’s Day – my thoughts are always on homemade gifts. Coming up with great Valentine Ideas is so much fun- especially when it comes to Valentine Gifts for Him. I know that my hubs appreciates thoughtful gifts that are useful, practical & budget conscious. We are not the sort of couple that spends a whole lot on holidays or gifts for one another. We prefer to cook together or do something sweet than spend a lot on something just for a specific occasion. So I decided to make him a little Nuts for You Valentine gift jar stuffed full of one of his favorite snacks – toffee covered peanuts.
I also created this free printable to go with it – so you all could create your own little Valentine gift too.
I can’t wait to give it to him. Simple & Sweet!

Firefighter Appreciation Gift ~ Give Extra
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.
Have you ever thought about what really happens in time of an emergency? Most people don’t really think about those that come to help when they are in time of need – until they are in time of need. First responders are special people. These are men & women who often live at the station for several days at a time – on the ready the entire time they are there. If the call comes out at 3am – they are out the door in moments to help in whatever way is needed – often times risking their lives for the safety & property of a complete stranger. That dedication & sacrifice often goes unrecognized. So I came up with this simple little Firefighter Appreciation Gift & Give Extra.
I realized one day when having a conversation with my neighbor that most people don’t realize the sacrifices our first responders make. I mentioned to her that even though my hubs is no longer a line guy (meaning he doesn’t sleep at the station anymore) – he’s the chief – that actually means he’s working more – often 60-80 hours a week. She said “what, he’s just bossing everyone around all the time?” I was sort of taken aback by this & then realized that most people don’t truly know what it means to do the job he does. They take it for granted that when they need something- some stranger will come to their rescue. Yes – he typically works 8-5. But then after those 40 hours AT the station – there are far more hours NOT at the station that most don’t see. The countless hours of phone calls with commissioners during dinner time, travel to conferences on weekends, phone calls regarding emergencies & personnel matters when we are supposed to be having family time at the gym. When a call comes out at bedtime – he’s laying awake listening to the radio to make sure everything is handled – or he’s racing out the door at midnight on a cold & snowy night to help someone who’s house is burning or they crashed their car because of the weather. He’s always on call – never unavailable. He has been driving home with ice cream for a birthday celebration only to have to turn around & go back to work for a call. We have turned our car around after only starting our family vacation 6 hours earlier to drive all the way home so he could head out for a 20 day assignment for a wildfire in another state. I’m not complaining – really, it’s the nature of the biz. We are all understanding & know it’s our livelihood. But I think that knowing the sacrifices that my hubs & so many others in his profession make is important.
There are so many that devote their lives to helping others & making their community a better place.
They deserve our thanks – no matter how small.
Sometimes it’s the gesture – more than anything, that matters most. Just letting them know that you notice & appreciate all they do can mean the world to them. While you are celebrating Thanksgiving & Christmas – there are countless first responders away from their families working to ensure everyone else has a safe holiday.
So during this holiday season- print off these easy Thank you’s I created & pick up some Extra Gum.
Give this simple & inexpensive gift to show you care! It doesn’t take much to say Thank You!
They will smile & they will appreciate your kindness!!!

Convection Cooking Conversion {Printable}
If you follow me on Instagram then you probably saw our oven upgrade we added to the house during the building process a couple months ago. We went with the Blue Star slide in because we fell in love with it’s no-frills -get down to real cooking style. I’m talking- there is no clock or timer or the handy little beeper that tells you when your oven has reached it’s set temp. But the things I love about it far outweigh those things. Those little things we had before were easily solved with a little thermometer & a good old fashioned egg timer. So that was simple. But what has taken some getting used to is cooking with convection. We never used convection before & so it’s been quite a learning curve. However- now that I have down all the quirks & tricks – I absolutely love it. I feel like my cooking is far more efficient & things are turning out better than ever. Buuuuutttttttt – I thought that you all might really like the quick Convection Cooking Conversion Printable I created & added to the inside of our spice cabinet for quick reference.
I hope this helps you as much as it’s helped me!
If you cook with convection then you know how great it can be once you get it down.

Printable Father’s Day Card
Hi ALL!!! You are going to love this today!!! Sarah from Creative Ramblings is here today to share with you this AWESOME Printable Father’s Day Card. Yep- I said it!! It’s right around the corner people! I know- but Sarah (God bless her) has us covered!! Check it out!
Hey all I’m Sarah I blog over at Creative Ramblings, I am so excited to be guest posting today. I’m sharing a printable Father’s Day card based on one of my favorite hand-made pieces.
I hope you all enjoyed your Mother’s Day this past weekend and were able to celebrate with the special Mom in your life. We had a big party not only for Moms but to celebrate my daughter’s dedication. With such a big weekend behind me I can now start looking toward the next celebration; Father’s Day.
I am a big fan of handmade cards, I even have a couple in my Etsy shop right now. I love spending time making something just right for the occasion. I have found, however, that my 3-year-old cannot be left out of the creative process. This usually results in a 3-year-old card and not the beautiful creation I had in mind. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, 3-year-old design is loved by parents and grandparents alike!
My solution lately has been to create a special card where my daughter can do her handy work while still looking like a pretty and grown up card.
This is a Father’s day card in my Etsy shop made with washi tape and a special place inside that reads “I love you because”, the perfect place for a little one to go to town. My Little Lady is learning to write letters and her name so we will be crafting a special message in this space.
Today I want to share with you a free printable version of this card using washi tape and that special place inside for a note.
You can download the file below, just follow the printing directions (super easy) and you will have a Father’s Day card that your little one can add a special touch to.
Download Father’s Day Card Here
For personal use only
Thanks for visiting!
Sarah
Thank you so much Sarah!!!!! LOVE IT!!!
Head on over & give her some love.

Going Away Gift {Free Printable}
I can’t believe we will be moving in just over a month. It’s incredible just how fast this whole house building has gone. We will soon be saying goodbye to all our wonderful friends & neighbors we have met here. Everyone was so amazing when we arrived 18 months ago. From my neighbor across the street that not only brought us cookies within days of us moving in & also got up at 4 AM to drive the hubs to the airport & back when we were in CA for my mom’s funeral. She has watched over our house countless times. My son has made friends with all the elderly on our loop & has earned a decent wage shoveling driveways & doing yard work while we have been here. We were fortunate enough that the house behind us has 3 little girls living in it- instant friends with my girls. There are plenty of boys in close proximity too which has kept my son busy playing football in the front yard for forever. We have spent holidays with these people, had them with us for special events & we are so grateful for the sense of community they have given us. We are sad to be leaving them. So I decided to create this Going Away Gift & Free Printable to show just how much we have loved being neighbors.
I can’t tell you just how nice it was to be welcomed so warmly when we arrived here.
I sure hope that we have the same relationships & forge great friendships with our new neighbors. We have already met one family who we really like. I have heard that there are more families buying up lots all up & down our street.
I stocked this one full of Kool-Aid products because it’s a great thing to have all summer long. This gift basket doesn’t have to be just for moving away- you could make the same thing for teacher appreciation gifts, end of school gifts for classmates or end of season sports parties.
You can download this free printable tag to create your own gift basket.

Sweet Valentine Printables
So are you ready for a fun little printable?? I created this sheet for my kiddos to give to their friends here in the neighborhood. They helped me in deciding how they wanted them & they designed them with me. Those kids- they are so creative. Suppose I should let them start their own blogs. They would probably pass me by 🙂 So anyhow- here they are. Print away!!
Sweet Valentine’s Day Printables
Don’t you just love the colors of Valentines Day?? The pinks & reds – oh so cute together. They make me smile. I wish it were acceptable to pair the two all year long 🙂 But it’s not so I have to really embrace it while we are in this season.

Red Velvet Cake Mix Recipe Instructions

Red Velvet Cake Mix & Free Printable
I don’t know about you- but I get sort of frustrated when I go to print off a recipe & it calls for cake mix. Especially when it’s a flavor I don’t keep on hand – like Red Velvet Cake. I do like the ease of using cake mix so I have a few flavors I keep in the pantry for when I need something quick. But more & more I am making things from scratch & keeping less & less of these pre-packaged boxes in the kitchen. So after finding several recipes that called for red velvet cake mix & not having any on hand – I decided to make my own so I could make red velvet cake for Valentine’s Day.
Red Velvet Cake Mix
Don’t get me wrong- if I kept a large variety of cake mix flavors on hand I wouldn’t be frustrated at all. But I do like being able to print off a recipe & go in my kitchen & create what I have been craving while using things I keep continually stocked in my kitchen- usually in bulk. Things like flour & sugar I buy in the bulk 50lb bags & I try to always make sure I have plenty of cocoa powder & other things that I use several cups at a time on a daily basis. It just makes being in the kitchen so much easier when I can pull from what I have & satisfy that craving. So this jar mix is perfect for that.
To create the mix – follow these instructions & then print the tag with the remaining ingredients & instructions to make the cake at a later date. This makes quite a bit- I had to really pack the mix down in the jar & it filled it to the very top.
Red Velvet Cake Mix & Free Printable
Ingredients
- 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups granulated sugar
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl & whisk together to combine.
- Transfer to 2qt jar & attach printable instructions for later baking.
Here are the instructions.

Her Story Begins with a Dream & a Spark ~ Free Printable
Hi All! How are you today? I have the pleasure of having another one of my fellow SNAP! contributors here today to share with you this great motivational printable. I just love the message & the design is perfect. My favorite is the color version- but Jessica has created both color & black & white for you here today. Give a warm Kleinworth & Co. welcome to Jessica & click on over to download your printable.
Her Story Begins with a Dream & a Spark ~ Free Printable
Hello Kleinworth and Co. friends. I’m Jessica, Founder and Creative Director at Pen N’ Paper Flowers and I am excited to be here today sharing a FREE Art Print I created.
The inspiration behind this simple art print came from the start of a new year. We typically view this time of year with hope and promise for good things to come, fresh starts and the inspiration to reach our dreams and make big things happen.
The words of the quote were actually inspired by one of my youngest daughter’s favorite songs called “The Glow”. It’s an uplifting song all about finding your strength, believing in yourself, letting your light shine and ultimately being the princess (woman) you were created to be.
My hope is that you’ll be inspired to print and frame this for yourself, or someone you know, as a daily reminder to dream…and be all you can be.
I’ve included the black and white version of the 5×7 Art Print as well as a color version for you to enjoy!

Thank you so much Jessica for creating this to share today!!!
