These 3-ingredient flower pretzel bites are a perfect sweet and salty treat for spring and Easter desserts collection.
My favorite spring treats are these flower pretzel bites, aka Easter M&M flowers, that I can whip up in 25 minutes and get a huge batch.
Gina’s Recipe Rundown:
Texture: Fun flower pretzel bites with silky melting wafers and crunchy pretzels, and nutty M&Ms! They are also kinda three-dimensional with all these M&Ms petals popping out!
Taste: This homemade easter candy has a perfect sweet and salty combination of flavors: sweet melted white chocolate and salty pretzel snaps.
Ease: The idea is borderline genius, it is an incredibly easy recipe that you can make with kids.
Why I love it: it is a perfect spring-themed recipe that works as Easter desserts, for Mother’s Day, Baby Showers, or just to celebrate spring.

My tip is to not mess around with the microwave, and work with large baking sheets and let the white chocolate wafers melt in the oven slowly, where it is much easier to control.
If you love easy desserts, you have to make these flowers to welcome spring into your home!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- My kind of batch size: this recipe yields 72 flower pretzel bites
- Minimal prep time and waiting, this great treat will be ready in under 30 minutes and with only three ingredients.
- Look at them: adorably cute flower pretzel bites that are perfect for a spring party – both kids and adults LOVE these!
- These easy flower pretzel bites make a gorgeous gift or as Easter basket filling, and you can craft the packaging too. Makes for the perfect treat for those taste buds.
Ingredients Notes
- Snap pretzels. You can use regular square pretzels or butter snap pretzels. They are sturdy and will hold the weight of melted chocolate and M&M candy.
- White chocolate melting wafers or white candy melts, you will find at the baking aisle. Ghirardelli is the easiest brand (and high-quality) to work with. You can use Wilton candy melts too.
- Pastel blend M&Mโs. These Easter pastel colors are super cute: yellow, pink, pale violet, green, blue! They start to sell them around March. Separate them by colors BEFORE you start making these pretzel bites.
Kitchen Equipment
- Baking tray/cookie sheet
- Parchment paper
- Optional, decorating tweezers
How To Make Spring Flower Pretzel Bites
1: Place Pretzels On The Baking Sheet
- Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. You need a large one, and better a few, however, it is best to alternate the sheets to avoid putting room temperature pretzels, and the hot sheet will make the chocolate melt too fast.
- Spread 36 pretzels on the prepared baking sheets in a single layer. (you can also work in smaller batches of 12 at a time since you will have to work quickly to add the candies)
2: Add White Chocolate Melting Wafers
- Add one chocolate melting wafer to the top of each pretzel.
- Bake for 2 minutes โ just enough to soften the wafer, so they are slightly melted, you donโt want it to melt completely.
3: Add M&Ms
- Remove and immediately decorate by pressing a single M&M into the center of each pretzel with melted chocolate wafer, then surround with 6 more M&Ms of a different color to make the flower petals โ working quickly so that everything sets into the melted chocolate before it firms up again.
- Repeat the steps with the second tray of pretzels.
- Let set at room temperature for at least 20 minutes to set before serving or storing. You can refrigerate them to speed the setting process.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container on the counter, they will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. You may also refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks.
If you have more leftovers, you can freeze spring flower pretzel bites in a freezer-safe bag for 1 month.
Substitutions & Variations
- This recipe can easily be halved or doubled as needed.
- You can use any color variety of M&Mโs you desire. Avoid the larger peanut M&Mโs, this wonโt work well with those.
- Pretzel waffles also work well with this recipe.
- You can use milk chocolate in a pinch.
- Switch up the M&Ms colors for pink and red and make Valentineโs Day flower pretzel bites.
- Alternate the color of the center m&m on the top of the pretzels to change up the look of this fun treat.
- Similar to pretzel hugs, you can change up the salty-sweet combos with regular mini pretzels, waffle pretzels, or chocolate meltaways, or change the center of the melted chocolate.
Expert Tips To Make Pretzel Flowers
- To avoid baking, you can work with a microwave-safe plate or a paper plate and simply melt the wafers in the microwave for 30 seconds at 50% power.
- If you want the flowers to look neat, place M&Ms with the letter M facing down.
- If you want pretty flowers, make the flower center of a different color.
- You can use aluminum foil or silicone mats instead of parchment paper.
- Don’t panic if the chocolate starts to harden, just pop it for a few seconds in the microwave to soften.
- Have extra M&Ms. Each pretzel bite needs 7 M&Ms and some may be chipped in the packet.
