Are you ready for back to school? When I was a kid there was a whole lot of preparation that went in to getting ready for back to school time. I remember spending many days shopping for supplies & clothes & everything else. It’s different now because I homeschool our kids & we don’t have certain clothes or specific supplies we need to buy each year. For us & I believe for all kids, the most important thing to have in order to be ready for back to school is a positive attitude. Encouraging a “can-do” attitude is so important. Encouragement Back to School Lunch Notes

We have always focused on instilling a strong sense of self in our kids. We want them to be confident in who they are & what they believe & have courage in their convictions so that they can be well prepared when they get out into the real world. We want them to be leaders & have the determination to follow their own path. So positive messages that talk about hard work, personal accountability & responsibility are really important in this house. In order to really drive those positive messages home, we headed to Hobby Lobby & picked up a fun Felt Letter Board (letters included) to have a place to really say what needs to be said.

These boards are so FUN! I love the classic feel & nostalgic style it adds to our house. They are easy to use with so many letters available. You don’t have to worry about running out of characters when creating the message that speaks to your soul.

To keep the positive messages flowing I created these cute printable lunch notes too. It’s an easy way to not only let them know you are thinking about them while they are gone but it helps them hear your encouraging voice when you aren’t around. I know my kids love to get notes from us, even now that they are a bit older. Those special words letting them know that you believe in them is what they need to hear to stay on track & reach for the stars.

The kids can see the positive message as they leave the house each morning, get the lunch notes mid-day & see the memo board again when they come home in the afternoon. It’s a full day of keeping them in the right mindset so they strive for success, especially if you talk about good things over dinner too. These are the ways we keep everyone in our house happy & focused on the right things in life.
