Easy Microwave Reese’s Fudge is a simple fudge recipe packed with peanut butter cups & made with only 4 ingredients & 2 minutes in the microwave.
Who loves fudge? I know I sure do & when it comes to fudge recipes, this one can’t get any easier. It is absolutely perfect for all your holiday gatherings!
Growing up my mom was the fudge queen. Friends & family would start putting in their requests for their batch of fudge from her sometime early in the fall.
Then we would set aside some time each & every evening & most of our weekends to work on getting those requests filled.
She made the most INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS fudge recipes & I am fortunate to have had the time in the kitchen with her, learning all her tricks.

She had so many different versions of her fudge recipe. Some required cooking a whole bunch of ingredients on the stove. Others were like this, super simple & easy to make. But each & every one of them is just as delicious as the next.
Now, I really mean it when I say that they ALL are delicious. I don’t think most people can tell the difference between a fudge recipe that is microwaved & one that has a whole lot more work going into it.
I mean, I can – but only because I have consumed an ungodly amount of fudge in my lifetime – taste-testing batch after batch until we got it just right.
So, when I tell you that this one is amazing – I really do mean it. This Reese’s fudge is perfect for that peanut butter cup lover in your life.
I like to make peanut butter cup recipes throughout fall. It works out pretty well because we are usually overflowing with candy in the house this time of year. What better way to enjoy it than to mix it into something as delicious as fudge?
This is great for neighbor goodie trays & putting out for guests to snack on while they wait for the Thanksgiving meal to be served too.
I know that I would just sort of camp out near the spread on the holidays & graze all day long. By the time the meal was served, I wasn’t really hungry. I had filled up on treats like this fudge & I was a happy girl.
Here are some commonly asked questions
Can I make this recipe with another size peanut butter cup?
Yes- that would work just fine. You can fill it with large ones, mini ones or whatever you desire. This recipe is great to adapt to your personal preference when it comes to the chocolate-to-peanut butter ratio.
What is the best way to store leftover fudge?
The easiest way is to add some plastic wrap or foil over the top of the dish & store at room temperature. If you live in an overly hot or extremely dry climate, this fudge will keep better if you refrigerate it.
This way it is more climate controlled & it won’t dry out or melt & can stay fresh for the longest possible time.
How many can this serve?
This recipe made 36 squares for me. But really, it depends on how you cut it once it is cooled. I like to cut down the middle in both directions to make 4 large pieces.
Then I cut 4 more times in both directions to create 6 rows by 6 rows. This gives me pieces that are about 1″ square.

Can this recipe be doubled?
Yes, absolutely. You should be able to use a 9×13 pan & get relatively the same result with double the ingredients. You might have to microwave for a bit longer to thoroughly melt all the ingredients – so account for that added time.
Can this recipe be halved?
I guess you probably could, I just haven’t tried it because I like to use the entire can of sweetened condensed milk once I open it.
HOW DO YOU MAKE Microwave Reese’s Fudge?
- Line an 8×8 pan with parchment & lightly spray with oil.
- Remove the wrappers & place 20 mini peanut butter cups in the bottom of the pan, making 5 rows of 4.
- In a large, microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips & sweetened condensed milk.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute.
- Remove & stir.
- If the mixture is completely melted, pour over the peanut butter cups in the pan & spread into an even layer.
- If it is not thoroughly melted, return to the microwave for 15-20 seconds longer.
- Place additional peanut butter cups & pieces candies in the top of the fudge layer – pressing them lightly into the top.
- Refrigerate until solid – approx 1 hour before cutting.
- Use the parchment to lift out of the pan & cut to your desired size.
Can I use another type of chocolate chip?
Yes & no. This recipe will work fine with milk chocolate & white chocolate chips. I have not tried it with peanut butter chips.
I don’t recommend using dark chocolate as it has less fat content & will melt differently. It would most likely not be creamy or smooth.

I wonder could you melt the peanut butter cups along with milk and chocolate chips? Stir it up and pour in pan.
Gina Kleinworth says
That might work out great – They’d be melty and the flavors disbursed throughout.
