Chocolate Chip Cookie Frozen Yogurt
It’s frozen treat season!! Are you excited? I sure am because that means I can start making all my favorite recipes. One of my favorite things to do is start the day whipping up some sort of chilly dessert. It usually only takes a few minutes & then it can freeze while we go about our day. By the time we are done with dinner, watering the plants on the porch, checking all our produce in the garden & getting the kitchen cleaned up after everything else, we are ready for some dessert. This is just the perfect treat to dive right into.
You see, I was inspired while I was at Fred Meyer doing some shopping in the cookie & cracker aisle. I saw these Keebler Chips Deluxe cookies & nostalgia took over. The hubs & I like to tell the kids stories of our childhood as often as we can. Fortunately, it’s easy to find images on the internet to help illustrate what it is we are talking about. Not a day goes by that we don’t pull up some image of something we are trying to describe to the kids. I think it really helps them to visualize what we are talking about. But it’s all the better when those stories can be put together with something that is still available today, like Keebler cookies. So of course I picked up a pack to create this delicious dessert idea.
I thought it would be great to create something with a treat I loved so much as a kid.
It’s really simple to make. Just mix the ingredients in the mixer bowl, add in the chocolate chip cookies & freeze. No churning or special machines. Just a beater & a freezer safe pan. I like to use a loaf pan, but a plastic air-tight container would work well too.
Look at all those cookies in there! My kids were sure loving that we made something using cookies from when we were kids. They really enjoyed hearing the stories of all the things we remembered, many of which centered around Keebler cookies. Remember the cute commercials? They always made me smile.
If you like the nostalgia of Keebler Chips Deluxe cookies, you will fall in love with this Chocolate Chip Cookie Frozen Yogurt that is unbelievably easy to make. I’m already looking forward to my next batch.
