One of my favorite things to make are wonton cups. They are so crispy and crunchy and you can fill them with just about anything.
Most often we fill them with some sort of cheesy goodness because we just don’t do snacks without cheese around here.

I’m such a sucker for the snacks. You can always find me hanging close to the buffet table so I can nibble pretty much throughout any event where appetizers are served.
But even though we aren’t really doing parties right now I’m still making all my favorites for all of us to enjoy.
I love these cups because not only are they baked, not fried, but we used Cooper® Sharp American cheese to add some really delicious flavor to these.
I add Cooper® Sharp American cheese to as many of my savory recipes as I can.
Here are some commonly asked questions
Why choose Cooper® Cheese?
First and foremost, quality. Cooper® Sharp is top-tier cheese. When you grab some from the deli, you know you’re getting only the best. I know that not only is Cooper® is made with milk and hand-selected aged cheese but they also leave out the unpronounceable ingredients.
I love their one-of-a-kind sharp flavor. Cooper® doesn’t taste like any other deli cheese. Cooper® is creamy, flavorful, and epically versatile. You can slice it, shred it, cube it, and it melts like a dream. That’s why Cooper® is perfect for grilled cheese, deli sandwiches, mac and cheese … burgers, salads, midnight snacks. Pretty much anything, really.
What is the history of Cooper® Cheese?
Way back in 1893, a banker by the name of I.C. Cooper decided to put down his balance sheets and start making aged cheese in New York. Today, more than a century after I.C. Cooper first staked his claim in the chronicles of cheese history, Cooper® is a regional household favorite and a family tradition across the Northeast.
Where can I buy Cooper® Sharp?
Cooper® has earned a loyal following in the Northeast. Because Cooper® is the taste of home. A source of regional pride. But Cooper® Sharp is available at a variety of retailers, at the deli counter. Use the handy Store Locator to find a location near you. Even better, Cooper® is now available online for shipping around the country. Order here.
What else can I make with Cooper® Sharp Cheese?
The possibilities are endless. I love adding it to our easy mac & cheese, in baked tacos, on sliders or on this super delicious jalapeno popper pull-apart bread with dipping sauce.
What other flavors can be made in the wonton cups?
Besides the chicken bacon ranch that is a favorite in our house, we like to make jalapeno popper, spicy buffalo and BBQ all with leftover rotisserie chicken to keep things quick and easy.
How many can this serve?
This recipe makes 12 wonton cups. Just enough for our family for any occasion. If you have little ones, 1-2 will most likely be more than enough for them.

You bet! If you have some leftover bacon from breakfast that morning or you want to cook a package prior to making this recipe, that will work great.

Stephanie says
Looks yummy. I might try these for our appetizer for Friendsgiving.
Terri Scott says
Do you use mini muffin tins or standard size?
Gina Kleinworth says
Standard-size tin. A mini tin would require making the wonton wrappers smaller and baking for less time.
Debbie says
I can’t wait to try these!! It states that the nutritional information was given but I can’t find it anywhere on this page. Can you please provide for me? Thank you in advance 🙂
Gina Kleinworth says
I’m sorry – I don’t have it yet for this recipe. I’m in the process of updating all of the recipes on the site, but with thousands here, it is a slow process for one person. I recommend using your own personal calculator, such as the carb manager app or something similar. Especially because many of the calculators vary quite a bit.
Bridget Crockett says
I didn’t see how many WW points each wonton is. Could you please tell me? They look so delicious!
Gina Kleinworth says
I do not participate in WW – so I can’t say. As far as I understand, this recipe isn’t “WW-friendly”. But I have been told that their point system changes frequently – so I would check with their current system just to be sure.
