Branding for Small Businesses is one of the most important things to get right. Things like logo design & even the choice of business cards matters.
When I started this little place on the web, I had a clear vision of what I wanted it to be like. When starting a small business it is so important to really nail your branding & that was my focus. Because many of the things I share here are tried & true recipes & projects that I have been making for many, many years I wanted my overall brand to reflect that as well. I researched vintage signs for format & aesthetics to give me a launch point. Then I sat down with a sketch pad & started drawing whatever came to mind. After a while, I took those ideas & recreated my favorites in my design program & slowly narrowed down my final logo.
Business Card ideas for Small Business
It was really important to me for my brand to evoke a feeling that we have been around for what seems like forever. We are trusted & the things you find here in this space are good, wholesome & we stand behind them. Because we share a lot of ideas for how people can live well on a budget, we are always seeking out the best possible ingredients, products & methods for the best possible outcome – all while not breaking the bank. The things I recommend here are things I use daily & stand behind 100%. This definitely carries over into the choices I make for my business.
Things like business cards & stationary speak volumes about who you are as a brand. Often times, it’s the business card that is the first impression one is given of what your brand represents. So when I choose my business cards I want to make sure they are of good quality like these from MOO. They are made of thick premium paper that I get comments on each & every time I hand one out. People are impressed & they let me know. That is a great compliment to me when someone really likes my card. But it’s all thanks to MOO. They made it easy with simple templates, a plethora of choices to make it really personal & super quick shipping, which is so great when I realize that I’m running low right before a business trip. Awesome business cards are just one of the fun ways I can do cool Branding for Small Businesses.

One of the little add-ons, when I was making my order, were these hip little MiniCards. I didn’t know something like this existed. It has the basic info on them, but still enough branding to say “hey- check us out”. These are great for my team to keep on hand so they can pass them out as they encounter people that want to know more about what we do.
Making a statement from the moment you say Hello is the key to a lasting relationship.
The easiest way I make that happen with an AWESOME business card.
