Common Questions About Biscoff Tiramisu

Yes! Strong coffee works well if you don’t have espresso. The key is to get that rich coffee flavor. If you like, you can even try out different roasts and find one that you like even better. There’s nothing wrong with experimenting!
Is It Okay to Use Cream Cheese Instead of Mascarpone?
While mascarpone cheese is traditional, cream cheese can be used as a substitute. I know I’ve done it myself a time or two in the past. The texture will be slightly different but still delicious. A great recipe is one that you can alter as needed.
Can I Make Biscoff Tiramisu in Advance?
Absolutely! Biscoff Tiramisu is a perfect make-ahead dessert. It tastes even better after chilling overnight. All the flavors have more of a chance to blend that way. So darn tasty!

I think that chances are good that you won’t have any leftovers at all with this one. It’s so yummy, friends and family alike will devour it!
Refrigerator
Store in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days for the best taste.

Freezing is not recommended as it may change the texture.
Tips
Whether you’re a Biscoff fan or not, this tiramisu will make your mouth water. I know all the tiramisu purists out there might raise their eyebrows a bit, but I don’t care, haha!
- Room Temperature Ingredients: Ensure your mascarpone cheese and eggs are at room temperature for smooth mixing.
- Soft Peaks Are Key: Whip the cream until it forms soft peaks for the perfect creamy texture.
- Quick Dip: Quickly dip the Biscoff cookies in the coffee mixture. They should be moist but not soggy.
- Even Layers: Spread each layer evenly for a consistent and neat presentation.
- Cocoa Topping: Use a fine mesh sieve for a light and even dusting of cocoa powder.
Ingredients
The espresso soak is key. Dunking those cookies for just a second or two really brings a whole lot of flavor to this tiramisu.
- Large egg yolks
- Granulated sugar
- Mascarpone cheese
- Heavy whipping cream
- Vanilla extract
- Water and espresso or strong coffee
- Coffee liqueur or dark rum (optional)
- Lotus Biscoff cookies
- Cocoa powder for dusting
How to Make Biscoff Tiramisu
Before beginning – the mascarpone must be at room temperature. Don’t skip this step! It will make all the difference in how it whisks together with the other ingredients.
- Fill a small saucepan about 1/3 full of water and bring to a boil.
- Place a heat-safe bowl on top of the pot ensuring that the bottom isn’t touching the water.
- Add the egg yolks and granulated sugar to the bowl.
- Whisk the egg yolks and the sugar until the sugar dissolves and it becomes lighter in color and thickens.
- Remove from the heat and whisk in the mascarpone cheese until smooth. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat the heavy cream and vanilla with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into the egg mixture, folding until there are no streaks of color remaining.
- Add the espresso and water to a shallow dish. Quickly dip the Biscoff cookies into the espresso and layer them at the bottom of the dish.
- Add a generous amount of the cream mixture to the top of the cookie layer and smooth it out.
- Next, dip another layer of cookies in the espresso and then top them with the remaining cream.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
The dessert should NOT have an overly soggy cookie, nor should it have a potent coffee flavor.
The liquor is optional but very common, it should be added to the espresso/water mix if desired.
