It’s getting closer to summer wedding season! Do you know anyone who’s getting married soon? I remember what a big deal it was when my mom hosted my bridal shower. My mom was a professional cake decorator & let me choose whatever type of cake I wanted so she could practice different techniques. So of course I chose super elaborate cakes whenever I could. When my step-mom came in my mom was still working on the finishing touches & my step-mom actually thought my mom was already working on the wedding cake. It was huge & over the top & oh so beautiful. I truly miss my mom’s cakes but I am so grateful she was with me through those times in my life. But we were fortunate that day to be able to cater the rest of the food.
