Bananas Foster French Toast is thick & eggy french toast smothered in bananas cooked in a dark rum, banana liqueur & a thick caramel sauce. It’s divine!
Oh my goodness, I love a decadent breakfast on the weekends. One thing I make often is french toast. Most of the time we just top it with syrup. But sometimes I really want something over the top. Something that rivals any fancy room service I could order at the nicest hotels around. So I whip up some bananas foster to put on top & I have to say, it’s INSANELY DELICIOUS! Don’t worry, I whip up a batch without alcohol for the kids so everyone’s happy. Bananas Foster French Toast is the best way to start the weekend.

The first time I made this it was because the kids had neglected the bananas for far too long. They like to do this because they think it will inspire me to make banana bread with them. But usually what they get instead is me putting them in the freezer to save for smoothies. But this time we were already making french toast & I just thought it would be so yummy to add some caramel covered bananas on top. I made this for my friends during our last retreat a year ago & I couldn’t believe I had never shared it here with you all. That meant I didn’t have a place for them – or you to print it off & try it. So I’m finally sharing it here today. I hope it’s the most delicious breakfast you have ever tasted!
