Did you know you can bake in your air fryer? You can make rich, chocolaty recipes like this Air Fryer Chocolate Zucchini Bread! It’s quick, easy & delicious!
Our family really loves making zucchini bread, especially chocolate zucchini bread. It’s almost considered a dessert in this house.
Our new favorite recipe is for this Air Fryer Chocolate Zucchini Bread that is so quick and easy – because it is made in our air fryer in about 30 minutes.
Be sure to try our Air Fryer Pumpkin Bread too!
Do you have an air fryer? I bet you were like me when I first got my air fryer. Somehow, I always thought we would only use it for making all our game-day snacks.
I didn’t know I would be able to use it to make breakfasts and desserts too. What I really love about it is that I can feel a little less guilty about the foods we are eating because of the reduced oil used in the cooking process, thanks to the air fryer.

I really love that this recipe only takes 30 minutes and that includes prep time. Not bad, right?
Added bonus because it is made in the air fryer, I don’t have to turn on the oven when making this in the summertime. That is AWESOME!
Here are some commonly asked questions
What sort of other mix-ins do you recommend adding to this zucchini bread?
I really love adding white chocolate chips in place of the dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips. We also love adding nuts like pistachios, pecans, or walnuts.
A little sweetened coconut is always good too. I might even add some raspberries since this IS a chocolate zucchini bread. How delicious would that be?
What mini loaf pan do you use for this recipe?
I picked up some mini loaf pans at a local specialty kitchen store here in town. They are similar to these mini loaf pans here on Amazon. They fit perfectly in my air fryer basket.
However, if you wanted to save dishes or give these loaves as gifts, you could use disposable loaf pans like these.
What air fryer do you use?
We actually have 3 air fryers. I have a smaller one from Phillips that we started with. I have since given that to my son since he’s only cooking for 1.
But the more I used the air fryer I realized I really wanted a digital screen. It wasn’t any more expensive, in fact- our XL air fryer from GoWISE was less expensive than the Phillips and I love its ease & extra functions.
Plus it comes with a lot of the extra accessories I like to use when cooking with my fryer.
But I when I started working on my second air fryer book, I wanted to change things up. I picked up this Chefman 6.3 Quart Digital Air Fryer+ Rotisserie, Dehydrator, Convection Oven. It has 8 Touch Screen Presets (Fry, Roast, Dehydrate & Bake, BPA-Free, Auto Shutoff) & Accessories Included. It is XL Family Size, which is great!

Can I use frozen zucchini?
More often than not I pull mine from the freezer. In fact, only the first batches of fresh zucchini get made into bread. Then the rest of the year we use what we have frozen.
Just pop the bag in the microwave for about a minute to thaw. You can dump it all in, including the excess liquid that results during the thawing process.
Can I use a sugar substitute?
I have not personally tried it, so I can’t say how that would turn out. But if you would like to try it, I suggest a product that offers a 1:1 swap. Please let me know how it turns out.
Can this chocolate zucchini bread be frozen?
Yes, I do it often. I like to make several loaves of this and freeze. Once the loaves have cooled to room temperature, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, then place in a zip-top freezer bag. Lable with the date and use within 4 months.

Great way to eat vegetables! So moist. Next time I might add cinnamon.

Your blog says the total time including prep is 30 minutes, and the top of your recipe says cook time is 18 minutes, but in the actual recipe (on step 9), it says to bake for 30-35 minutes. I would like to make this recipe but I’m not sure how long to bake it.
