- Peel the butternut squash using a sharp vegetable peeler. Cut it in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds with a spoon, and then cut the flesh into 1-inch cubes. Make sure the cubes are relatively uniform in size for even cooking.
- Toss the butternut squash cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl. Ensure all the cubes are coated evenly with the seasoning.
- Place the seasoned squash cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded. If necessary, work in batches.
