This pumpkin pie recipe is going to be the pie of the year at your Thanksgiving table.

Begin by making the pie crust. Combine the dry ingredients, add water, and knead into a nice ball. Roll out and shape into pie crust and insert into your pie dishes. This recipe makes two pies.

Start the pumpkin pie mixture by beating the egg yolks then add in remaining ingredients. Divy up the mix between the two pie crusts.

Bake for 5 minutes at 425 with the pies tented with foil, then remove the foil and reduce the heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 55-60 minutes, or until the center no longer jiggles.

Remove and let cool for 5 minutes, then sprinkle the tops of the pies with the chopped nuts if not adding whipped cream.
