Simple 2-ingredient Easy French Onion Dip is a delicious snack to serve at parties, holidays, game day & tailgating. It’s a favorite & disappears quick!
Easy French Onion Dip
It’s that time of year where we transition from the holidays, parties & gathering with family & friends to playoffs & game time & more gathering. That means I’m putting out a full spread at least a couple times a week.
Yep, we really love getting together with friends to enjoy good food & company no matter the occasion. I often bring or serve lots of traditional party foods & of course treats too. I love sharing a lot of them here with you all.

However, I can’t believe I have yet to share one of my favorite dips with you- this French Onion Dip. It’s so incredibly simple- just 2 ingredients & it’s always a huge hit! Literally, the bowl is clean when the party is over. Let me show you just how easy it is to make.
First- stop at Walmart in the dairy/yogurt aisle. Pick up the 32oz container of Chobani® Greek Yogurt in non-fat plain & a pkt of french onion dip mix & whatever crackers or chips you want to dip into it. That’s it- that’s all you need.
When you get home- measure out 2 cups of yogurt into a small bowl & add in your flavor pkt. Mix well until fully combined. Transfer to serving dish & chill for at least 1 hour before serving. Keep in an airtight container in refrigerator if storing leftovers after serving.
I like to serve with some veggie crackers because they enhance the onion flavor in the dip. But this is also great with a standard ridged potato chip too. It’s one of my favorite party combos.
I also love that because it’s made with yogurt instead of sour cream, I am making better choices when enjoying our party spread.
I like to use Chobani® because it’s so versatile. It works great in mixing in when making a creamy soup or in place of sour cream to lighten things up. It’s high in protein & low in fat which is always welcome in this house.
But we use it for breakfast too- the kids especially love to top it with some homemade granola & fresh berries in the morning. I especially love that it’s made with only natural ingredients that are not genetically modified.
That is very important to me.
Just look at that – mmmmmmm it’s so good. I’m telling you, it’s so simple & incredibly yummy!
You know you can’t do another party without this dip.

That does look delicious! I’ll have to try it the next time I make yogurt (because I just can’t bring myself to buy yogurt after making my own).
