You know- I really did this so I would have an excuse to buy these adorable snowman peeps.
So thrilled they make them for all seasons now.
I think I will be making this all holiday season long.
The sprinkles make it fun – don’t they?!
Here are some commonly asked questions
How can I make this a cocktail for adults?
Making this eggnog hot chocolate into an adult beverage is so simple. Just prepare as directed and then add 1 ounce of brandy to the glass when serving. Then add a sprinkle of nutmeg on top instead of or along with the sprinkles.
Can I use any kind of eggnog or does it have to be light?
You can use the regular eggnog for this. We found that using the light variety made it more like milk, which blended better with the chocolate. Otherwise it gets quite thick and less like hot chocolate.
HOW DO YOU MAKE EGGNOG HOT CHOCOLATE?
- Combine eggnog & chocolate chips in saucepan & heat to a simmer.
- Make sure all the chocolate chips have melted & are combined with the eggnog.
- Ladle into mugs & top with whip cream sprinkles & marshmallows.
Eggnog Hot or Cold
What is the best way to store leftover eggnog hot chocolate?
Just keep it refrigerated for up to 4 days in an airtight container and this will keep just fine.
Can this be made in a slow cooker?
I think that would work fine, but just remember to keep stirring because you want those chocolate chips to melt and mix into the drink instead of sinking to the bottom of the cooker and sticking there.
