The fact that you can dump this all in- let it cook while you do everything else is fantastic.
I know that when I am having a bunch of guests over, making the bar area nearly self-serve is key to a happy party.

Cranberry Cider Recipe
The best part is that whenever anyone needs a refill- it’s all simmering & ready to go.
Just ladle it in – add your optional rum, bourbon, or vodka if you so choose & you aren’t bartending all day long. You can focus on your other meal preparations & enjoy your guests.

Here are some commonly asked questions
What is the best way to store leftover cranberry cider?
This recipe keeps well when transferred to an airtight pitcher and kept refrigerated until ready to serve again.
Can I use frozen cranberries?
Yes, absolutely, that will work just fine. No need to thaw them first. The warmth of the liquid will take care of that for you.
HOW DO YOU MAKE Slow Cooker Cranberry Cider?
- Combine cranberry juice, apple cider, cranberries, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks & cloves in the crockpot.
- Cook on high if you plan on using within 2-3 hours. Cook on low for longer.
- Allow to simmer & warm until ready to serve- stirring occasionally.
- Ladle into mugs, garnish with an additional cinnamon stick
- Add in one ounce of rum per mug if desired.
Can I use a sugar substitute?
I have not personally tried it, so I can’t say how that would turn out. But if you would like to try it, I suggest a product that offers a 1:1 swap. Please let me know how it turns out.

What slow cooker do you use?
We actually have several slow cookers that we have acquired over the years from doing this job. I have a smaller one that is great for half recipes.
But the one I use the most is this standard, no-frills slow cooker that is perfect for this particular recipe.

I have catered two Christmas parties with this punch recipe. It was a hit! Everyone loved it. I put the rum separatly so guests could pick and choose on having alcohol.
