With just bananas, eggs & chocolate protein powder you can make delicious 3 Ingredient Chocolate Protein Pancakes that are healthy & keep you full all day!
It’s the new year & time to kick things back into shape. I know that I went way overboard during these last 2 weeks. Like most people this time of year I’m looking to change things up for the better around here.
Something about the house being fresh & clean when you pack away all the excess with the Christmas decor & all that goes with it. It makes you want to scale back on everything else too- including the food.
But you all know that I really love my treats from morning until night. So, of course, I like to find ways to make my favorite recipes in a healthier way so I don’t have to give them up at all. Like these simple 3 Ingredient Chocolate Protein Pancakes that are just so yummy.
To make this recipe you will need…
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 egg + 1 egg white
- chocolate protein powder
3 Ingredient Chocolate Protein Pancakes
I mean really, I’m always finding a ripe banana in the pantry that the kids neglected to add to their breakfast. With this recipe I will be hiding them so I can have plenty to make these pancakes.
It’s so nice to have an alternative to the classic smoothie when using protein powder to try to eat more healthy. I know I usually crave something a little more than that & these pancakes really hit the spot.
You can make them with vanilla powder too – but I just really love that malt chocolate flavor in these.
Here are some commonly asked questions
How many pancakes does this make?
This recipe makes 4 small pancakes. So if you are feeding your family, you will definitely want to increase your quanties based on how many people you are feeding. I found that 2 pancakes was perfect for my breakfast while still making me satisfied but not too full.
It is really just 3 ingredients?
Yes, just those 3 ingredients. But you can always add things either to the batter or to top the pancakes when serving. I like to add a few extra slices of banana to the top. But you could do strawberries or blueberries. You could also add some fat free whipped topping but that starts straying away from keeping it completely healthy.
HOW DO YOU MAKE 3 Ingredient Chocolate Protein Pancakes?
- Mash banana in a small bowl until no large pieces remain
- Add in egg, egg white & protein powder & whisk well
- Spoon onto 375 degree griddle & cook until browned before flipping to other side

This is such a great idea, Gina! I love to add protein powder to lots of different recipes for staying power, but I’ve never thought of putting it in my banana pancakes. Love how easy these are, too! Making them SOON. Pinned!
