HOW DO YOU MAKE Pumpkin Dessert Dip?
- Combine cream cheese, confectioners sugar, marshmallow creme, pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice in a mixer bowl & beat with the whip attachment on medium/high until well combined.
- Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Serve with your favorite spiced cookies, pretzels or biscotti.
Why do I need pumpkin puree instead of pie filling?
This is really important when making pumpkin recipes. Pay close attention to the recipe & see if it calls for one or the other.
This recipe calls for pumpkin puree, which is just pumpkin that is cooked & pureed. Pumpkin pie filling is the puree mixed with sweeteners & spices – which isn’t what is usually called for when it comes to most recipes that use pumpkin.
They are not usually interchangeable because it will change the flavor & possibly the consistency of the recipe you are making.
Can the no-bake pumpkin dip be frozen?
This dip can be frozen for up to six months. Simply place the desired amount into an airtight container and store in the freezer. When you’re ready to enjoy, thaw in the fridge overnight and serve as usual.
