Don’t miss our Basic Muffin Recipe for making all your favorite flavors!
Healthy breakfast ideas are always on the forefront of my mind. We are still doing homemade breakfast items & when I can add a new ingredient in a new way to give them more uumph I’m all for it. With these breakfast muffins I added a secret ingredient – some EAS Whey Protein Powder. EAS is the protein supplement that can be added to an already-healthy lifestyle. I love this because we use these protein powders in shakes & smoothies all the time. They are great first thing in the morning & after the gym in the evenings.
I picked up mine during my weekly Target run. I was already running through about 10 different recipes in my head that I planned on making with my new vanilla flavor. I have had a large container of chocolate & I was excited for some new flavors to blend.
I like packing as much protein into our daily meals as I can. A little scoop into different recipes is an easy way to do this. It really helps us reach our daily protein needs.
Just toss it all in the bowl, mix & portion into your muffin tins. Bake & done!
Now through may 23rd you can grab 5% off any EAS item through cartwheel!

How many calories in the oatmeal muffins
Gina Kleinworth says
Since many of the calculators vary so greatly, we have not provided calculations until recently. We ask that readers use their preferred calculator so there isn’t a question of accuracy. We are currently working through all 3000 recipes on the site to update them with nutritional information. But it is a slow process due to a lack of manpower to do more than a couple of them at a time.

Hi, how can I replace eggs in this recipe?
Gina Kleinworth says
I haven’t tried it with this recipe. I’m assuming that you replace eggs in recipes often, and I would imagine it is just like most other recipes you would replace eggs in. 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce or plain/vanilla yogurt can be used for each egg that is being replaced.

Followed the recipe exactly and agree they are delicious. Love the nutrition especially for people who find it difficult to get in daily protein.
Question: How many muffins does this recipe make – 24 regular size? AND How many muffins = 1 serving
In the nutrition section you note calories at 2071 and protein at 77g
Gina Kleinworth says
Hi there –
Yes, it is 24 regular size muffins and the serving would be 1 muffin. But can you tell me what nutrition calculator you are referring to? I didn’t include one in this post and I don’t include them in any of my posts because they vary so greatly. I’d rather readers who watch those things closely use one of their choice.
